We are a multidisciplinary team of engineers that enjoy supporting the warfighter. We provide engineering services to projects involving the design, development and maintenance of hardware and software systems for the strategic aerospace community, including aircraft and ground support equipment ranging from microcircuits to major subsystems.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Participate in large multidisciplinary aerospace and avionics design teams to execute cradle-to-grave science and engineering projects that benefit national security.
  • Contribute electromechanical design and drafting technical data packages to support DoD clients with sustainment and modernization of legacy hardware for flight, ground support, testing, and maintenance.
  • Support research and development of new technologies for national defense applications.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Generate mechanical solid models, fabrication/assembly drawings, BOMs, technical illustrations, electrical/mechanical schematics, and installation/integration instructions.
  • Drafting assignments involve conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design under technical supervision.
  • Support development of analysis-only CAD models for structural, thermal, dynamic, and dimensional engineering analyses.
  • Interact with colleagues and project leadership to present technical data packages, collaborate to make design decisions, and document comprehensive technical data packages in the form of 3D CAD models, manufacturing/fabrication drawings, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
  • Support reverse engineering activities by creating 3D CAD models and/or drawings from data that is extracted from legacy avionics equipment and/or structures.
Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent or an Associates in Mechanical Design and Drafting, Aerospace Design and Drafting, Electronics Design and Drafting, Avionics Design and Drafting.
  • 2-10 years: Self-motivated with strong skills in organization, technical writing, oral/written communication, and professionalism.
  • 2-10 years: Experience with supporting electrical and mechanical design development through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design tollgates.
  • 2-10 years: Experience developing mechanical solid models using at least one commercial 3D/2D using SolidWorks preferred.
  • 2-10 years: Experience interpreting and generating the following data: mechanical dimensioning and fit tolerances, electrical wiring schematics, mechanical hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
