Who We Are:

Scheduling Office of the Fuels and Lubricants Research Division.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Provide close contact with Division 08 commercial clients on testing priorities and test availability.
  • Monitor and initiate client test requests while properly dealing with external registration organizations.
  • Work closely with other personnel (as a Team) to complete daily and routine tasks.
  • Be willing and able to work overtime as required; work in a high-output team environment with daily deadlines.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with commercial clients to provide testing availability, testing forecasting, testing status.
  • Monitor tests in progress and complete daily test status.
  • Schedules standardized or customized tests and ensures compliance with test parameters, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Work with test registration organizations to properly register tests.
  • Processes receipt of test oils other test materials working with shipping and receiving and oil inventory personnel.
  • Work closely with internal SwRI project leaders and laboratory staff to properly schedule testing.
  • Performs computation and data generation used for final test reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's degree from an accredited university is strongly preferred.
  • 2 years: Laboratory experience with desire to learn laboratory environment.
  • 2 years: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is highly desirable. Ability to learn and work daily with SwRI-developed software.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. Must be able to courteously deal with public and clients. Must be able to work in a team.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
