Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$48.131 - $62.105 - $76.078


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
This role will be responsible for managing performance improvement projects involving our Centralized Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy departments to increase our efficiency with our technology (ex: Epic, Willow Ambulatory).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In an applicable field, such as Computer Science, Business Administration, Nursing, Finance or Health Care Administration. Relevant experience in excess of three years may be substituted for degree.
  • 3 Years Experience in the healthcare industry.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 Year Experience in retail or hospital pharmacy environment and/or working with clinical analytics applications and reporting that included systems analysis.
  • Experience with Epic
  • Experience with 340B


Essential Functions

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation

    As determined by customer/client requirements, provides complex analysis and interpretation of information once extracted to provide synthesized and meaningful results to customers. Provides customer-focused output of results appropriate to the level and sophistication of the recipient. Performs necessary user acceptance testing.
    Analyzes and interprets results of data/reporting created per customer requirements.
    Provides meaningful interpretation of results to client, identifying patterns/trends or significant findings.
    As necessitated by customer requirements or upon interpretation of results, creates customer-focused visual output of information to support effective communication of relevant information.
    If developed solution will be part of client's workflow, ensures that the solution is efficiently integrated into that workflow. Performs user acceptance testing on all programmatic and analytical solutions to ensure customer requirements are met.
    Performs ongoing risk assessments of pharmacy clinical, financial and compliance data to ensure that internal controls are in place to identify defects and ensure compliance with appropriate regulations.
  • Documentation and Support

    Ensures department documentation is current, accurate and available. Department documentation includes, but is not limited to, specification documents, project plans, instructional documentation, and other reference materials. Supports clients in their application of Pharmacy developed solutions.
    Collaborates with customers to develop project plans, scope documents, specifications, instructional documentation, and support documentation.
    Ensures documentation is completed for all projects and kept up to date.
    Assists in the development of department documentation for support of reports/tools/applications/users. Follows department change management procedures for documentation and notification to clients.
    Completes project tracking documentation as required.
    Provides end-user customer support on an as-needed basis for any tools, software, and reporting under the purview of the Pharmacy Department.
  • Solution Development

    Designs and codifies solutions to meet departmental and customer needs, effectively develop programming and reporting solutions to identified organizational priorities.
    Codify technical solutions to meet identified departmental and customer requirements as per project scope and/or specification documents.
    Identify and implement technical solution, including programming solution via code writing in required programming language (e.g. Alteryx, SQL, MS Excel) if within project scope.
    Identify and implement other reporting solutions as appropriate (Looker, Epic Snowflake, Epic Reporting Workbench).
    Facilitate implementation of technical solution, utilizing other Sharp resources as necessary, as necessitated by process map or other project requirements.
    Stays abreast of new technologies in order to optimize flow of data, data analysis, and reporting including any new software or database architecture/technology acquired by Sharp Healthcare.
    Participates in relevant work groups (i.e. pharmacy billers, patient financial services) to identify new areas of risk and to share results of data analysis and solution development.
  • System Analysis

    Performs comprehensive analysis of source system data, including but not limited to EMR, Revenue Cycle, Billing and 340B Systems and other niche systems, as well as, data within downstream applications (e.g., Strata) and the data warehouse to meet client business needs. Evaluates the integrity/accuracy of data and addresses identified problems.
    Analyzes and implements effective client workflow support.
    Using sound knowledge of business and technical strategies to translate customer business requirements into systematic solutions that meet project and reporting requirements.
    Analyzes user needs/requirements through a variety of appropriate methods such as: on site visits; review of department policies/procedures; review of system capabilities; ensuring attainment of optimal functionality; user satisfaction.
    Demonstrates forward thinking by conducting thorough analyses of data requests and changes necessary to implement proposed solutions.
    Uses effective interviewing and analysis skills to elicit client requirements. Evaluates the integrity/accuracy of data and addresses identified problems.
  • Project Management

    Project management methodology competency statement: Demonstrates consistent and effective application of Project Management techniques.

    Analyzes department and client needs to develop a workable training plan.
    Determines an accurate scope, definition, and charter for the project.
    Ensures execution of training plan.
    Determines and plans for appropriate project task support and task communication.
    Manages small to medium projects and ensures completion within target dates as agreed to with affected parties.
    Leads and/or contributes to risk identification and mitigation efforts.
    Develops, contributes and maintains project plans.
    Communicates project scope, deliverables, plans, issues and post project reports.
    Negotiates to obtain consensus and approval on required changes.
    Follows approved project management standards.
    Monitors and reports progress of implementation.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Critical thinking skills to determine appropriate resources to accomplish data goals; attention to detail; problem solving, ability to review large data sets and identify processes to combine data, find false positives, troubleshoot issues, train end users on how to work with and interpret data reporting results.
