Summary:
We are seeking a ERISA Plan Manager to join and lead NFP’s Plan Document Operations team. This position will be responsible for creating and delivering ERISA plan documents to clients of NFP subsidiaries and Benefits Partners members, utilizing the FT Williams platform and software. Specifically, the position requires preparation of Summary Plan Descriptions, Wrap Documents, Summary of Material Modifications, and Section 125 Plans/Premium Only Plans. The position also requires working closely with NFP brokers to collect information required to complete the documents. This position will operate and coordinate closely with the Benefits Compliance Team and will report directly to the SVP and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer (who also leads the Benefits Compliance Team).
This is a hybrid position, being in the office 2-3x per week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the NFP Plan Document Operations team and team members.
- Stay current on requirements under ERISA as it relates to plan documents.
- Stay current on PPACA and other related laws/regulations as it relates to plan document content.
- Utilize FT Williams platform to complete plan documents timely and accurately.
- Maintain and track NFP account team requests for plan documents.
- Educate account teams on plan document request process and on basic ERISA plan document and SPD requirements.
- Contribute to overall mission of the Plan Document Operations and Benefits Compliance Departments and work closely with other Benefits Compliance team members in servicing NFP offices and clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing health and welfare plans is required, including ERISA’s plan document, SPD, and Form 5500 requirements and Internal Revenue Code Section 125 plan document requirements.
- Must be self-motivated and a hard worker.
- Must have a strong sense of business ethics and integrity.
