Job Description

The Senior Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize the Technology Solutions facilities supply chain operations, will hold overall responsibility for planning, implementing, and monitoring the overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency, ensure customer OTIF and meet quality expectations. This position is the link between plant operations, customers, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management principles across these key domains, excellent leadership skills, SAP system, and proven record of implementing successful supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency and improvement throughout our operation, and drive business growth.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for master scheduling, buyer analysis, order management, production scheduling, customer fulfillment, and inventory management for Dallas, Baton Rouge, DeForest, Boise and Canada sites.

  • Assign yearly performance objectives for the team in alignment with department and sites goals.

  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to employees regarding job performance.

  • Mentor and motivate the supply chain team, provide training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.

  • Communicate performance standards, recognize, and reward individual and team accomplishments.

  • Manage and be responsible for department budget.

  • Perform root cause analysis, develop lessons learned. Share findings and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce cost, and improve overall supply chain performance across logistics and planning functions.

  • Develop and implement Sales and Operations Planning strategies to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, planning, manufacturing, and sales to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of supply chain activities.

  • Implement robust supply chain analytics and reporting mechanisms to track key performance indicators, (KPI's) across to drive improvement.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in understanding monthly forecasting, sales trends, and marketing initiatives to support the coordination of Supply Chain Activities and validate forecasted demands.

  • Participate in special projects, including analysis and summary of data and provide recommendation for future procedures.

  • Problem solving, and proactively identify and mitigates risk before problems become roadblocks.

  • Align with internal customers, finance, and operations to understand budgetary targets by building and develop methods of measuring and defining savings, value and other category metrics.

  • Produce monthly status reports that communicate to management project progress against plans/budgets.

  • Monthly management of slow moving, obsolete inventory.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Implement strategies to improve performance of employees as well as effectiveness, engagement, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Provide mentoring guidance to all subordinates, management or otherwise, across all aspects of their job function.

  • Support the development of best practices, including completion of annual appraisals, individual development plans and succession planning.

  • Oversees purchased goods, ensuring cost and quality standards are met.

  • Evaluates the internal performance for all aspects of supply chain and drives continuous improvement of supply system operations with effective leadership.

  • Provides effective leadership to Warehouse Supervisor, Supply Chain Specialist and Production Planner with regards to performance management, skills development, attendance, communication, and recognition.

Key Competencies:

  • In-depth experience in material planning and procurement, inventory control and management, production planning, setting production requirements and managing execution, material movement and service level negotiations.

  • Able to improve forecast accuracy resulting in enhanced business results by leading the adoption of forecasting leading practices.

  • Ability to work with all levels of business customers in a highly dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable with working closely across various teams including functional and procurement leadership teams.

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible working hours.

Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Business, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • 5-years Supply Chain/Logistics experience in Manufacturing.

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills; experience leading a team.

  • Extensive experience with SAP ERP system.

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
