Notice is hereby given that the City of New Franklin is accepting applications for the position of Finance Director.
Job Summary - The Directory of Finance is the head of the Finance Department and the municipality's Fiscal Officer. The Director is responsible for the collection, disbursement and custody of all funds, and for establishment and maintenance of all records and procedures necessary to perform those duties.
Qualifications/Requirements - The Director of Finance shall have knowledge of accounting, taxation, budgets and financial control, as demonstrated by experience, education or both. The ideal candidate shall have an undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field; an advanced degree, if applicable; a minimum of five (5) years' experience in accounting, to include a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the practice and/or the auditing of municipal or governmental accounting; and some supervisory experience in the area of governmental accounting. The Director of Finance shall not hold any other public office.
Applicants may be further subject to taking and passing a complete background investigation; physical, medical and psychological testing; and other requirements as may be provided for in the Job Description, the City of New Franklin Charter, and/or the City of
New Franklin Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual. Employees must satisfactorily complete a one-year probationary period.
Hourly Wages, Hours & Benefits-Starting Wage: Salary, commensurate with experience.
Hours of work: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. This full-time position is eligible for medical, dental and life insurance benefits, as well as paid days off (vacation, holidays, etc.).
