GCSAA is seeking an I.T. professional with a proven record of providing technical expertise in the design, development and implementation of web and application platforms. Focused on front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, this role emphasizes creating user-friendly interfaces and optimizing web applications for SEO using tools like Google Analytics. Additionally, developer will manage and maintain CMS platforms such as Sitefinity and WordPress, ensuring seamless functionality and performance. Collaborating with the Sr. Manager, Application Development, this position also reviews existing applications to ensure they meet GCSAA’s evolving technology needs.
Qualified candidates possess:
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT team members to provide technical direction and support of business software and applications.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with CSS utilities like Bootstrap and Kendo UI
- Experience with object-oriented programing, preferably .net
- Assist in the development of project requirements, site concepts, interface design, and architecture to ensure applications are developed according to specifications.
- Provide technical support services to GCSAA departments, focusing on user experience, responsive design, and SEO best practices, including tools such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Search Console.
- Build and maintain websites using CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, Sitefinity, and integrate or maintain AMS platforms such as NetForum, Personify, and Salesforce.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Application Development to prioritize projects and manage the team’s project portfolio.
- Assist developers and contractors in hands-on responsibilities related to ASP.net (MVC, Web Forms, Mobile), NetForum, SharePoint, and Microsoft .net.
- Conduct unit and integration testing, troubleshoot, and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage CI/CD processes using DevOps pipelines, VSTF, and Git, and work with APIs (SOAP, REST) when applicable.
- Develop technical documentation and handbooks that accurately represent application design, architecture, and code.
- Work with SQL databases, SSMS, and demonstrate an advanced understanding of relational databases.
- Familiarity with Azure environments, monitoring tools like SolarWinds, and optional tools such as Google Ad Manager and Report Writing Software (SSRS, Tableau).
- Experience with SASS, OnPrem, VS Cloud, API/Integration, Web Applications vs Console App
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to explain technical issues in a clear and understandable manner to staff, then translate business needs to technical staff
- Three (3) or more years professional application development, leadership and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years or more of I.T. work experience
- Microsoft Development Certification valued, but not required
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays, up to 10% for our annual Conference & Trade Show
- GCSAA will place a preference on local candidates or those willing to relocate to the Lawrence, KS area, but will consider remote applicants

Compensation range is $83,000 - $90,000/annually based upon skill level and previous experience.
