The Tiffany & Co. Watchmaker performs assessments and servicing for new and client owned product. The Watchmaker supports the client watch servicing experience for the store and acts as a resource for the team. The Watchmaker should be proficient in all aspects of quartz quick and full service repairs.
The Watchmaker is responsible for completing daily repairs and communicating the status of assigned repairs to the administrative staff and management. They will perform quick service repairs such as battery changes, bracelet sizing and estimating. In addition, they will also be responsible for completing full service quartz repairs. The Watchmaker will be requested from time to time to work with clients and client advisors to discuss clients' needs and issues.
What You'll Do:
- Perform quality repairs on all assigned client owned merchandise orders for quartz collections.
- Assist other Watchmakers to resolve challenging repairs.
- Identify and requisition parts for repairs.
- Communicate status updates to administrative staff and areas of concern to management.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, as well as departmental processes and best practices, including but not limited to, Internal Audit, Human Resources and Occupational Safety.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work retail hours, including nights and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school training (minimum 2 years) and/or professional experience (minimum 2-5 years)
- Experience in the diagnosis and repair of quartz watches
- Ability to perform water resistance testing techniques
- Basic verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to converse professionally with clients and have a professional appearance
The hiring range for this position ranges from $26 - $43/hr. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
