Job Description: Validation Engineer (3rd Shift)Position: Validation Engineer
Shift: 3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday, 10 PM - 7 AM)
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct validation tests on internal combustion engines (ICE) and related components.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including dynamometers, to run engines and collect data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Document test results and issues accurately.
- Collaborate with calibrators and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Support an array of engines, including diesel and V8, during validation processes.
- Experience with INCA and/or Puma software.
- Laboratory experience, particularly with running engines and data collection.
- Background in internal combustion engines (ICE).
- Typically 2-4 years of experience in the field.
- ICE Experience:
- Fundamental understanding of internal combustion engines.
- Lab Experience:
- Proficiency in running engines and collecting data, particularly using dynamometers.
- Software Proficiency:
- Experience with INCA and Puma tools.
- Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift (8 AM - 5 PM).
- Training duration is approximately 4 months to reach full competency.
- Ability to function independently on the 3rd shift is crucial.
- Troubleshooting skills are essential, with a focus on documenting issues and resolving them promptly.
- While the role requires independence, there will be support from calibrators and other team members.
- The role is currently for the 3rd shift, but there may be potential for shift changes in the future.
