Full Job Description

Aquent Studios is looking for a User Experience Designer - Creator Products for one of our top client's Design Systems teams. User Experience Design is at the heart of our client's goal to be customer obsessed, and its UX team works ceaselessly to transform deep customer insights into delightful and innovative product experiences that drive business results and customer satisfaction. We are searching for a passionate and experienced UX Designer who can utilize their design talents to ensure that Audible continues to lead through product innovation.
As part of the Creator Products team, the UX Designer will create foundational experiences that empower our client to nurture, scale, and grow relationships with creators and develop world class spoken word content. In this role, the designer will work closely with product, engineering and the business to modernize its core content pipeline, enabling the publishing of the client's world class spoken word content.

The UX Designer will work embedded in teams, with core users and stakeholders enabling short, quick feedback loops and the ability to align and design iteratively. This role will help identify areas to raise the experience bar by crafting refined user interface elements, uncovering and fixing usability issues, and identifying new innovative ways of supporting creators across our products.

What you'll do:

  • Create elegant and intuitive user experiences by incorporating user insights, business requirements and technical constraints.

  • Lead the planning and strategic phases of a project. Proactively pitch new ideas, backed by a strong, well-articulated rationale.

  • Quickly and iteratively create process flows, wireframes, prototypes, throughout the design process.

  • Independently deliver UX solutions for problems of large scope and complexity. Work through ambiguity, and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.

  • Be a champion for user-centered design by partnering with researchers to test your solutions in front of users; and be willing to build lightweight prototypes, conduct scrappy and quick user testing on your own if required.

  • Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Contribute to user experience design guidelines and development best practices and standards for the corporate design community.

  • Proactively mentor and lead other designers.

Must haves:

  • Four or more years of experience as a user experience designer, product designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.

  • A track record of designing and delivering digital products that align customer needs and business goals; illustrated with a portfolio.

  • Experience in a range of design approaches, methods, and tools that you use to plan and estimate complex projects.

What you need to succeed:

  • Able to take ambiguous design problems and work with stakeholders and user research insights to craft design solutions grounded in customer needs and business goals.

  • Able to clearly articulate the basis of design decisions to stakeholders and respond effectively to feedback.

  • Uses a variety of design tools to craft an effective approach, estimate, and plan in response to design requests.

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience in user-centered design solutions and product design innovation. Must illustrate solving for multi-platform UX challenges and demonstrate scalable, user-friendly design solutions.

  • Experience planning and executing effective customer research, solo, or in partnership with a UX Researcher.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and solid design instincts who can translate user and business needs into design solutions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • A strong track record of iterative design, working closely with product and tech partners from inception through implementation.

  • Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.

  • Fluency in best design practices across mobile, web platforms and voice-first devices, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
