Aquent Studios is looking for a UI Design Specialist for one of our top client's Design Systems teams. The UI Design Specialist will be a pivotal part of the Design Systems team, dedicated to improvements of the Design Systems catalog that the client offers to its internal partners. 

This role involves a focus on completing its established source of truth for our internal design partners (UX, UI A11y designers, and Creative), which includes an internal Icon library and style libraries, end-to-end screens of the client's core experiences, and Framer visual references for its Documentation site. The UI Design Specialist will play a crucial role in creating precise representations of components and modules, ensuring they mirror live experiences and adhere to the expected design behavior.

This role will be a key team member in collaboration with the client's Internal tools lead and will be consulting with the team's designers to ensure quality of the UI within the libraries. 

What you'll do:

• Working with team members to:

  • Perform UI execution work, including expanding the icon library while following the Mosaic standards and supporting with prototyping and running user-testing and synthesis

  • Creating do's and don’ts visual examples for Documentation Site

  • Enhance tooling efficiencies, including:

    • E2E file accuracy

    • Library accuracy/improvements

    • Update and maintain specs for component as the Design Systems evolves through iteration (presentation template, annotation library improvements) 

    • Companion app improvements, working directly with techs to implement proposed solutions

    • Slide templates migration in Figma to centralized templates

  • Complete the internal libraries of components and modules by incorporating all the UI that is live in our current experiences.

  • Work within our centralized documentation site, leveraging Framer as a tool.

  • Improve and expand centralized libraries of components and styles within Figma.

  • Ensure components and modules are consistent, accurate and functional across all platforms, including tablet apps, mobile apps, smartwatch interfaces, and web experiences.

  • Maintain rigorous standards in organizing our internal libraries, enhancing them by incorporating components in both new and legacy states.

What you need to succeed:

• Strong knowledge of Framer's site building platform:

• Ability to create scalable design components aligning visually and structurally with our design system.

• Proficiency in writing Framer Overrides for additional functionality.

• Advanced knowledge of Figma:

  • Expertise in creating scalable design components that align with our design system.

  • Understanding of how to leverage Figma features to optimize design components and libraries.

•  Demonstrated experience in UX/UI design, specifically in building and maintaining design libraries.

  • Proven track record of working with Framer and Figma.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Between $60 – $65 hrly (DOE)

The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
