Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Booking, the Studio Booking Assistant is responsible for helping with the daily scheduling of all student projects, practice time, Visiting Artists Events, Faculty and Chair Grant Recordings, External Projects and Community Outreach Projects and all other requests for service in the Academic Technology Recording Facilities. The 54 Academic Technology studios, suites and labs are booked 22 hours per day, seven days per week. Additionally, the Studio Booking Scheduling Assistant helps with the training and supervising student employees

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise on campus work study employees when coordinator isn’t present.
  • Assist with managing online studio scheduling web interface.
  • Assist with maintaining 1500 AT student accounts on a daily basis; keep student project information and scheduling criteria constantly updated and disseminated to the students which includes online project and practice time scheduling.
  • Assist Associate Director with creating and managing the implementation of all divisional booking procedures and policies.
  • Assists with scheduling studio sessions for all college recordings, including faculty and chair grants, student and faculty concerts visiting artist seminars, community service projects and institutional initiatives.
  • Assists with scheduling sessions for chairs and faculty from other departments, staff and special initiatives from the Office of the President.
  • Assists with “start of semester bookings”.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Some experience in professional facilities/venue scheduling preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of recording studio operations is strongly preferred in order to interface the specific needs of the College community/curricula and the Berklee recording facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills are required to work with a broad range of personalities, cultural diversities and backgrounds. Interactions will include but are not limited to: students, work-study staff, staff, faculty, administration, visiting artists and professionals.
  • Knowledge of scheduling software, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Filemaker database applications
