The Teen Program Manager at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston—Josh Kraft Mattapan Teen Center is responsible for overseeing the center's operational, administrative, and programmatic functions. This leader ensures operational efficiency, program excellence, and alignment with the organization's mission to empower youth through enriching experiences and supportive relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Josh Kraft Mattapan Teen Center, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.
- Attend DOPs department team meetings and other department team meetings as needed
- Supervise two F/T employees, Music Clubhouse Coordinator and VIP Outreach Coordinator and two P/T employees, Membership Assistant and E-Sports Generalist.
- Execute and ensure all new Education, Teen Strategy, and other Strategic Plan initiatives are being met at JKMTC.
- Lead Keystone Club with support from Social Worker
- Create a comprehensive new member welcome program to ensure all new members feel welcome and excited to be a part of JKMTC.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures as outlined in operation manual.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements, including state, federal and BGCA guidelines.
- Lead emergency preparedness planning, including safety drills and risk management protocols, and act as Safety Lead for JKMTC. Coordinate with Facilities manager to ensure all aspects of the building are being supported.
- Secure, maintain and monitor budget, materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the program area(s). Maintain a clean and safe program area(s).
- Participate in individual and group supervision sessions; participate in professional development opportunities as appropriate.
- Travel between sites and to activities as needed
- Other related duties as specified by the Director.

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Work Demands):
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, equivalent experience considered.
- Direct experience developing and delivering a wide variety of programming and support services for teens.
- Knowledge of trends in recreation activities, community service and leadership activities for teens.
- Minimum one year supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- MS Office and web competency preferred.
- Must be or become CPR/FA certified.
- Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work clubhouse hours especially as seasons and service needs change.
- Valid driver’s license required.
