Responsibilities

The Mainframe as a Service (MaaS) Service Delivery team within IEOM is looking for a Technology Administrator to join the team. We work in a very fast-paced environment with a significant amount of responsibility and accountability. As a team, we foster an environment of innovation, automation, and simplification with our vendors and managed service providers to achieve strategic business outcomes. In this position, you will help us manage risks associated with our MaaS products, partner with our strategic vendors and internal business partners to ensure compliance activities are completed and help us manage the MaaS suite of products efficiently and effectively for State Farm.

In this exciting role, you are a critical player in four areas: ensuring that we appropriately manage and address risks, manage both strategic vendor relationships and key partner relationships, provide vendor accountability for the delivery of outcomes, & appropriately communicate about and champion strategic changes that help us achieve our defined future state outcomes. In short: you provide the kind of support and accountability necessary to move State Farm toward its long-term objectives and ensure the stability and protection of State Farm's data and assets.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Tactical direction, planning, and roadmap development (per MaaS product line)
  • Collaboration with IEOM Product Engineering on POC and strategic (future state) Epic/Sub-Epic work
  • Creation of ADD / BDDs where appropriate to assist in resolving escalated issues and/or create clear direction for vendor delivery & execution
  • Creation of work orders and documentation necessary for vendor delivery of work (including requirements deliverables, definition of milestones, success criteria, etc.)
  • Provide accountability for contractual vendor outcomes and results (through things like Project Deliverable reviews and sign-off, Runbook reviews, and Resource Unit (RU) metrics and Service Level (SL) reviews and sign-off
  • Technical and Business issue resolution / escalation point
  • Business partner / stakeholder management
  • Vendor feedback and performance monitoring
  • ITA creation for planned and unplanned expenses
  • Participation in technical risk work, risk response updates, and compliance activities

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Infrastructure knowledge general expertise
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
  • Think creatively and contribute to the success of the Data Center Services suite strategies, goals, and ultimately State Farm
  • Teamwork and continuous improvement (growth) mindset
  • Strategic vision and critical thinking, initiative, adaptability, and resourcefulness

  • Familiarity with MaaS services, tools, capabilities, and contacts
  • Engineering background or experience

REMOTE: Qualified candidates may be considered for remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.

HYBRID: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations listed below) should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.

Compensation Range: $85,500-$201,300

For California, New York, and Connecticut candidates:

Potential salary range: $85,500 - $228,750

Potential yearly inventive pay: up to 15% of base salary
