Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a part-time Systems Engineer (Combat Systems) - Intern.
In this role, you will be writing requirements for robust software and firmware applications and doing some very impressive modeling and simulations for these exciting and mission critical programs.

The Systems Engineer Intern will be responsible for analysis, design, integration, and test. Tasking will include development of mission critical software and hardware requirements. The candidate will be responsible for development of requirements using SysML diagrams and constructs. The candidate will also complete systems engineering related tasks to meet cost, schedule and technical objectives.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of system engineering process desired. Experience with the Java and/or C/C++ programming language, algorithm and software development is desired.

Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
* Pursuing BS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.

* Proficient in the use/working knowledge of Unix, Linux, Python, C++, Java, and Matlab.

* Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
* Experience in an Agile workflow environment.
* Understanding of modeling tools such as Rhapsody and SysML
* Strong communications skills (written and verbal), strong team leadership, administrative and interpersonal skills.

* Able to work independently or as a member of a team.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
