The BTSP serves as a strategic interface to the assigned business unit(s) for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, and relationship management. The BTSP provides highly-valued strategic consulting level support and guidance through key IT initiatives and is responsible for liaising between the business and IT, ensuring that the business unit's technology needs are met with high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning (30%): Propose and plan solutions for future success, providing context and forward-looking insight to leadership to inform prioritization and decision-making, balancing business enablement with protective controls.
  • Business Solutions (25%): Serve as a trusted advisor to the business units, providing expert knowledge of technology solutions and industry best practices. Troubleshoot technical issues, mediate disputes, coordinate with vendors or service providers, and manage business expectations.
  • Relationship Management (20%): Build and maintain strong relationships between TSG and its business partners. Understand the partners' needs, expectations, concerns, and business risks, ensuring they are prioritized, addressed, and communicated appropriately.
  • Program Management (15%): Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved scope, budgets, and controls.
  • Reporting and Analysis (10%): Align with the PMO and partners (i.e. Finance, Communications, Risk, Compliance, etc.) in assessing the performance of TSG services and reporting on their findings. Collect and analyze data, prepare and present reports and dashboards, and make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge and Business Acumen: A solid understanding of the technology landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities. Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts and their business implications in non-technical terms. A good understanding of the business they support, including the organization's business model, industry trends, and the needs and concerns of business partners and customers.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and nurture strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Program Management Skills: Adept at managing complex technology projects, including setting and managing timelines and budgets, coordinating with various teams, managing resources, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are completed successfully and on time and budget.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, able to collect and analyze data, interpret trends, and make informed decisions. Proficient in the use of analytics tools and the development of performance metrics.
  • Visionary Leadership: Ability to articulate a clear and compelling vision for the TGS organization that aligns with both corporate and line of business goals and objectives. Able to inspire and motivate the technology team to work towards this vision.
  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills, able to make informed decisions quickly and confidently, even in high-pressure situations. Comfortable making tough decisions when necessary.
  • Resilience: Able to handle setbacks and challenges with grace, learn from mistakes, and keep moving forward. Able to encourage and support their team in the face of adversity.
  • Empathy: High degree of empathy, able to understand and appreciate the perspectives of others.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$202,100.00 - [[$293,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
