Surgical Technician Mohs - Dermatology
Annapolis, MD
MUST:
Experienced Surgical Technician / Surgical Assistant
Must have 1plus years of experience as a Surgical Technician
Must have Dermatology, Medical Cosmetic, MOHs Surgery, and/or prior surgical setting experience
Must have prior team lead/management experience within a medical setting
Must be computer savvy
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have strong customer service experience
Must have experience training new staff members
Must have experience working in a multi-physician practice
Must have experience working with EMR
DUTIES:
Surgical Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Triage patients
Provide clinical assistance including some transcription and scribe duties
Support a Mohs surgeon in skin cancer treatment
Assist with excisions and Mohs
Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
Assist with cosmetic procedures
Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
Lead the surgical staffing, train new employees
Managing CLIA inspections and audits
Maintain business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs
Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
