The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is hiring a full- time Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding Surgery Team!

Compensation: $24-34/ hr based on experience and skill level

Schedule: Day shifts Monday - Friday, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule

We currently have a 16,000 square foot, state of the art facility with plans to grow in the new year. Our emergency center is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to always support our community!

Specialty services offered at CVRC include cardiology, internal medicine, neurology & neurosurgery, medical oncology (radiation oncology coming soon!), rehabilitation, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery. Our hospital houses an MRT, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiographs for diagnostic imaging.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in Specialty, Emergency, or Critical Care medicine. LVT certification is preferred.
An understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including restraint, phlebotomy, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
Experience monitoring anesthesia and managing patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning, knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses, and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately.
Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
