$38.440 - $49.601 - $60.761The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
Provide frontline fundraising support at the Partner and Employee Giving level. Identify and hand-off major gift prospects to support the pipeline fund raising operation at Sharp Memorial Hospital and the Metro Campus (Metro). Serve as primary donor relations contact for Metro Friends of the Foundation (FOFs) acting as a resource and liason between donors/VIP's and the appropriate departments when needed. Prepare inventory of FOF amenity bags and ensure delivery of bag to qualified patients when appropriate. Provide clinical resources and referrals to assist patients as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 Years fundraising experience.
- 2 Years experience making calls to access donor interest.
- Computer experience to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 Years health care fundraising experience.
- Experience working with volunteers and/or board members.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge.
Essential Functions

This position has access to confidential and sensitive information regarding patient data through the IDX system and Raiser's Edge.
Access the minimum amount of information necessary to accomplish the job responsibilities which are limited to: patient name, address, dates of services, marital status, spouse name, company, affiliation and facility.
Utilization for fundraising purposes cannot be based on information that may be viewed as a result of access to demographic information. - Major Gift Identification & Collaboration
Identify and cultivate prospects and donors with major /planned gift potential to enlarge the major gift pipeline in collaboration with the SMH and Metro major gifts team. - Patient Relations
Serve as a resource and liaison between Metro donors/VIP's and the appropriate METRO entity departments when needed. Prepare an inventory of FOF amenity bags and ensure delivery to qualified patients when appropriate.
Provide clinical resources and referrals to assist patients as needed. - Pipeline Development
Develop and carry a portfolio of PIH prospects for Sharp Memorial Hospital and Metro from identification to solicitation. Including: renewals, upgrades, lapsed, Employee and Partner donors.
Identify and incorporate new donors to enlarge the donor base; make thank you calls to donors, manage pipeline development of Partner level donors through upgrades; increase Partner level donor advancement to major gift donors of $10,000 or more.
Implement and manage Employee giving program at assigned Metro and Sharp System/entities. - Metro Team
Serve as a member of the Foundation Annual Giving and Metro Teams conducting Guardian Angel donor presentations and follow up in assigned territories.
Ensure information related to annual giving prospects and donors is recorded and tracked in donor data base and that all policies/procedures/memberships adhere to established system guidelines and protocols.
Assist as needed with stewardship, employee giving, and campaign events.
