Key Responsibilities
- Independently prepare tax returns, supporting schedules and journal entries, and maintain accurate work paper files. Coordinate with internal and external business partners to receive tax data necessary for tax returns and provisions.
- Support tax-related projects for sales and use, gross receipts, and income tax. Represent corporate tax in enterprise-wide projects by gathering and documenting the tax department's business requirements. Communicate status updates to management.
- Research tax and accounting treatment as needed and communicate findings to tax department management.
- Correspond with tax authorities to resolve notices and provide audit support.
- Support SOX controls and identify process improvements and communicate recommendations to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of proven experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Onesource or other tax preparation software experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting
- Institutional knowledge of Ameriprise
- Organizational skills
- Proactive
- Experience with state tax compliance

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $69,900-$94,400/year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
