The Senior Manager of Public Relations will lead media strategies and campaigns that amplify our go-to-market (GTM) efforts and elevate our executive spokespeople. This role requires a forward-thinking professional who can craft compelling narratives, secure top-tier media placements, and leverage innovative approaches to position FactSet as a thought leader in the finance and technology industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in media relations and executive communications, as well as experience integrating PR strategies within broader marketing campaigns. This role will play a critical role in ensuring FactSet’s external messaging is cohesive, impactful, and future-focused.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies with external partners to enhance brand visibility in target markets, aligning with business goals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers for high-impact media coverage.
  • Oversee the creation of industry-specific press materials, including releases, statements, and pitches.
  • Position company spokespeople and executives as industry leaders through speaking engagements, articles, interviews, podcasts, and more; provide media training and craft aligned messaging frameworks.
  • Identify storytelling opportunities within trends and news cycles to advance key narratives.
  • Ensure cohesive messaging across owned channels and media outreach by collaborating with blog, podcast, and social media managers.
  • Support crisis response planning and reputation management through risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze media coverage and engagement metrics to enhance PR initiatives and demonstrate their impact on campaigns.
  • Collaborate with product marketers, internal comms, internal SMEs, investor relations, third-party partners, and other stakeholders for unified messaging and strategic support.
  • Plan and coordinate PR events like press conferences, product launches, and forums for maximum exposure and engagement.
  • Integrate innovative PR techniques by staying updated on industry trends.
  • Strengthen crisis communication plans for effective reputation management during challenging situations.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of demonstrated professional experience in in-house or agency PR/Media Relations or B2B marketing.
  • Proven ability to secure media placements in Tier 1 publications and cultivate relationships with journalists.
  • Experience in managing executive communications, including media training, interview preparation, and crafting messaging frameworks directly for and with the C-suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and report on PR performance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of role of PR and social media along customer journey, including familiarity with marketing automation, digital channels, and analytics.
  • Superior writing skills with the ability to articulate messages that resonate with the press. Passionate about quality with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and expertise working with financial and technology media outlets and media relationship management.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional, global teams. Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of FactSet or competitive product/solutions preferred, existing relevant media contacts, and experience managing a public/media relations agency relationship.

The budgeted base salary for this position in the state of Connecticut and in New York City is $120,000-150,000. US applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
