Full Job Description
Lee Enterprises is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Graphic Designer to join our Brand & Strategic Marketing team. This role is instrumental in creating and implementing marketing campaigns for 75 local news markets across the country, with the primary goal of increasing digital subscriptions. Reporting to the Director of Brand Strategy, the ideal candidate will have a strong creative vision, expertise in graphic design and video editing, experience with email marketing, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership:
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and execution of subscription ad campaigns across digital, social, email, and print platforms.
- Edit and produce compelling video content that highlights the value of digital news.
- Ensure all creative deliverables align with brand standards and meet the highest quality.
- Collaboration & Strategy:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including development and UI/UX, to brand and market new subscription products like mobile apps and podcasts.
- Translate creative objectives into actionable strategies for the broader Lee Enterprises organization.
- Project Management:
- Review and provide insights on timelines, deliverables, and budgets for freelance-driven projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Design Expertise:
- Serve as the team expert on Adobe Creative Cloud, including advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Client Interaction:
- Employ strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to address the needs of a diverse, deadline-driven client base.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of design and creative experience in a news organization, digital/creative agency, or consumer branding role.
- Proven track record of creating and editing assets for media brands.
- Experience crafting successful email and social media campaigns for brands.
- Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Expertise in graphic design, video editing, and email marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of brand attributes and the ability to translate them into impactful visual communication.
- Exceptional project management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio:
- Applicants must submit a portfolio or online work samples showcasing their expertise in design and video editing.
- Passionate about the mission and importance of local news in our communities.
- Experience in digital subscriptions, email newsletters, and news marketing.
- Availability to work general CST hours, Monday through Friday.
