What You'll Do:
The Senior Event Planning Manager will work directly with Group Meeting Planners during the event planning phase and will be available to welcome the groups during planning site tours, pre- convention meetings and as they are arriving at the hotel for their meetings and events, making sure there is a smooth execution of all events. Responsibilities include - Reviewing Sales Agreements, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V Needs, Managing Room Blocks and Pick Up, Billing Instructions and Final Review.
This individual is also responsible for the training, coaching and development of Event Planning Managers and Administrative Assistants. This individual will work closely as the liaison between Meeting Planners and the Hotel Event Food & Beverage Department, Audio Visual Team and Hotel Operations making sure all client details are communicated to the hotel for fulfillment.
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, managing key-operating systems and able to monitor referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts. Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills of utmost importance.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
· Refined verbal and written communication skills
· Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
· A minimum of 1-3 years in Hotel Event Sales and/or Event Planning
· Has completed General Sales & Events training programs
· Geographically mobile (minimal travel required)
· Shows leadership throughout the hotel
· Passionate about the Hotel Event experiences
