About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant for the Financial Crimes Analytics, Monitoring, and Surveillance (FCAMS) team within Financial Crimes Risk Management. You will be joining an exciting team focusing on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) analytics that lead to the successful delivery of Risk Management solutions to Wells Fargo & Company (WFC).

This position is on the Data Integrity and Wire Support team that provides support on the data feeding to Financial Crimes AML transaction monitoring programs and models. This includes addressing data inquires, performing research analysis, identifying potential data issues, documenting case details in JIRA that includes issue definition, impacts, root cause and remediation. In addition, the team supports the NEWTON enterprise wire application from a business perspective. This process includes supporting the production frontend user interface and supporting all project work that includes data mapping, design requirements, and testing and validation to ensure data quality and accuracy that aligns with business requirements and functional design.


In this role, you will:

  • Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
  • Lead or participate on large cross group projects
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage complex data collection and analysis activities including conducting extensive source-to-target mapping exercises
  • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
  • Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of wire transfer processes
  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate moderately complex business problems and lead a team to provide comprehensive technological solutions
  • Experience managing an enterprise-wide application initiative or service component in support of a major line of business
  • Experience monitoring key indicators for emerging threat trends in the online and mobile space, using multiple methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience with BSA/AML/OFAC laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical, reporting and leadership skills
