
JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Markets Operations Oversight Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective performance and control of Financial Markets Operations across both onshore and offshore teams. This role involves proactive oversight of daily processes, risk management, and governance to minimize operational risks and maintain high standards of compliance. The successful candidate will possess deep market knowledge, a strong understanding of risk management, and proven experience in team leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversight over Financial Markets Operations performance (onshore and offshore) and reporting any issues proactively
- Define and review departmental performance metrics for local and hubbed process
- Carry out daily and monthly reviews of service provide performance
- Review trend analysis of performance benchmark standards (straight through processing attainment, query attainment, query resolution turnaround times etc)
- BORF, FORF, and SRM attendance
- Budgeting / Cost centre management
- Monitor and escalate daily breaks across all accounts, including reviews of narratives and substantiations
- Review all escalation matrixes twice a year and cascading to all stakeholders
- Oversight of risk events and escalation, Risk events investigations and follow-up, drive thematic review deep dive KRIs monitoring.
- Ongoing assessment of risk on existing processes, new product risk reviews, review exceptions for necessary BRF tracking
- Control monitoring, executing industry-wide / firm-wide initiatives to FMO Group
- Monitor budget to meet targets and report budget risk
- Drive cost saving ideas
QUALIFICATIONS
- Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the firm operates
- Understanding of Fiduciary and Fund Services processes and key associated market risks
- Understanding of Custody and Clearing processes and key associated market risks
- Proven track record to quickly get up to speed on new areas, concepts and products
- Business Strategy and Model:awareness and understanding of the firm's business strategy and model appropriate to the role
- Track record in delivering continuous improvement
- The ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks to the firm. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the firm and the role the individual plays in managing them

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 73,581 to 110,372 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
