Full Job Description
JustinBradley’s client, a non-profit trade association representing an industry of more than 1 million landscape, lawn care, tree care, irrigation, and horticulture professionals, is looking to add a Senior Accounting Manager to their team.
The Senior Accounting Manager performs a variety of advanced level accounting, technical and professional duties in the day to day operations of the association and its foundation.
Major responsibilities include the monthly closing process, account reconciliations and accounts payable management. This position will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and directly participating in the annual audit and budgeting.

Compensation Range: $90,000-105,000
The Senior Accounting Manager performs a variety of advanced level accounting, technical and professional duties in the day to day operations of the association and its foundation.
Major responsibilities include the monthly closing process, account reconciliations and accounts payable management. This position will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and directly participating in the annual audit and budgeting.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and annual year-end close process.
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts.
- Credit card reconciliation using merchant accounts, iMIS reports and bank statements.
- Monthly validation of general ledger to iMIS reports including revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, inventory, publication sales and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain all supporting balance sheet schedules.
- Prepare journal entries for month and year end closing to include intercompany, prepaid, deferrals and accruals.
- Prepare monthly financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to the VP. Investigate variances to budget and review for accuracy.
- Assist the VP with all aspects of the annual budgeting process including training new employees on the system and guiding budget owners through the process.
- Manage electronic accounts payable process including coding invoices, entry of source documents, electronic payment preparation and reconciliation to GL.
- Prepare annuals 1099’s for review by VP.
A well- qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit environment (501c6 membership trade association)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Sage Intacct and budgeting software
- Experience and comfort in working within a database structure, iMIS experience strongly preferred.
Compensation Range: $90,000-105,000
