We are seeking a Sales Support Specialist to join our team!
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring a smooth customer journey on all orders. This role will have assigned customer accounts whose orders they will follow from quote to delivery. This role must be extremely focused on delivering top-tier customer service. The position also requires ongoing product training, some negotiation with vendors, and overnight travel at least twice per year. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in sales.
The Sales Support Specialistwill report directly to the Sales Support Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the sales team to provide exceptional customer service.
- Accurately enter quotes and orders into the ERP system with careful attention to detail.
- Communicate all order updates to customers from the time of quote entry through delivery and invoicing.
- Participate in ongoing product training to become an expert on our top product categories and stay updated on new products, features, and pricing strategies.
- Engage in some negotiation with vendors to request additional discounts, perks, or favorable terms.
- Coordinate white glove deliveries and product installations.
- Assist with phone queue and a shared inbox as needed to support the team.
A TYPICAL DAY:
- Answer any customer requests for new quotes or orders.
- Review all open quotes and orders for changes or delays.
- Track shipped orders and notify customers of expected delivery dates.
- Work with operations team on special delivery needs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure all customer needs are taken care of.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with providing excellent customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- High sense of urgency.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with light negotiation, such as requesting extra discounts or perks from vendors.
- Interest in sales and willingness to support the sales team.
- Strong interpersonalskills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and overnight travel as required.
