We also offer Oregon's only 24-hour urgent care center right next to our emergency room, ensuring seamless, around-the-clock care for patients.
Our Emergency Department: Our 23-bed adult emergency/urgent care department, with 45,000 patient visits annually, features a 4-bed urgent care area embedded within the ED for patients requiring immediate care. Our private rooms are equipped with up-to-date technology, and we provide specialized care pathways for diverse patient needs, including elders and behavioral health patients.

Your Role as an RN: As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you'll provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. You'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion while making a lasting impact on patients' health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care while adhering to Legacy Health's high standards for patient assessment, care delivery, and transfer.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care for every patient.
- Advocate for patients by offering education and emotional support, helping them navigate their health journeys.
- Leverage cutting-edge electronic health systems to accurately document patient information and provide seamless care.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. If you're working towards your BSN, we encourage you to apply!
- For certain roles, a BSN is required. We also consider RNs without a BSN based on clinical experience and with approval from the Chief Nursing Officer.
Experience:
- At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program).
- Additional clinical experience may be required, depending on the department.
Skills & Qualities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - because in this role, every day is different, and your expertise will make all the difference.
