Job Summary
The SoRelle Collaborative EBV (scEBV) Lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan Medical School is actively seeking postdoctoral scholars to work on single-cell and spatial -omics projects investigating Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. The projects include: 1) dissecting host-virus interactions that epigenetically regulate cellular function and fate; 2) understanding the pathogenic roles of partial versus complete lytic reactivation; and 3) developing spatially-resolved genome-wide insights from EBV-infected tissues including virus-associated cancers. Benefits for Postdoctoral Research Fellows
Required Qualifications*
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent degree. We are looking for highly motivated team players with a background in microbiology, immunology, cell biology, or a related field, who are interested in studying host-pathogen interactions and/or viral oncology. Prior experience in virology is not necessary, but previous experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or computational biology is preferred. Experience with single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and/or advanced fluorescence microscopy is highly desired. Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
