Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society.
Responsibilities*
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology. The focus of study for this position will be focused on the following projects in MCTP:
- Identify and analyze the molecular features of prostate Gleason patterns using spatial transcriptomics.
- Process and analyze high throughput spatial transcriptomics data (10x Visium HD) along with high-resolution H&E images using advanced computational techniques including deep learning.
- Test publicly available tools as well as build customized pipelines and develop novel strategies to achieve analysis goals.
- Interpret data and provide high quality visualization for publication.
- Conduct integrative analyses combining spatial transcriptomics with other omics (single cell transcriptomics, single cell ATAC-seq and proteomics).
The successful candidate must be capable of thriving in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The candidate will work as part of a team to perform routine and complex Bioinformatics Techniques under the supervision of the Principal Investigators and/or higher-level research staff. The position will participate in research projects in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment.
