JOB DESCRIPTION

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced individual with strong consulting skills to act as a QA Leader in the US and Canada practice within Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization . This role will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes, ensuring the highest standards of software quality, and leading QA efforts across multiple client projects. This role may also provide technical subject matter expertise for Apex sales and account teams during the scoping of new Quality Assurance and Testing opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strong client, industry and technical community relationships and represent Apex Systems as leaders in Industry and Professional events and communities. Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate expert-level technical knowledge, skills, and effective professional consulting skills. Serve as a subject matter expert. Build trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and model collaborative teamwork.
  • Lead team members and direct reports to produce high quality deliverables, meet project deadlines, and take responsibility for engagement and team success. Coach and manage direct reports, maintaining strong employee engagement and productivity. Demonstrate a passion for quality and process improvement. Lead the development, growth, and success of your team, developing professionals for the next stage of their careers.
  • Demonstrate professional level consulting skills, leadership skills and executive level communication/ presentation skills. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.
  • Develop detailed test plans and strategies tailored to specific projects.
  • Define test objectives, scope, and criteria for success.
  • Ensure alignment of test strategies with project goals and timelines.
  • Lead the execution of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Manage the defect lifecycle, including identification, reporting, and resolution.
  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely fixes and retesting.
  • Define and track key quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Provide regular reports on testing progress, defect status, and quality trends.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers.
  • Provide guidance on best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Manage client expectations and deliverables related to QA activities.
  • Conduct client meetings to discuss project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through high-quality deliverables and effective communication.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of experience in testing methodologies and creation of automated test cases in highly Agile environment
  • 2+ years experience in a Lead QA role leading QA teams in delivery.
  • Prior consulting experience and leading nearshore/offshore teams preferred
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Deep understanding of InfoLease 9s features, including contract management, billing and invoicing, taxation, and end-of-term processes.
  • Experience managing client deliverables and expectations related to InfoLease 9 implementations/upgrades.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Strong experience coaching and mentoring large teams, and working with C suite individuals
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience managing client deliverables and expectations.
  • Proven track record of leading QA initiatives and delivering high-quality software products.
  • BA/BS preferred in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields or applicable education and experience
