The Project Manager works under direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), at the University of Maryland, College Park, in the Division of Information Technology (DIT). The incumbent will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also assist in defining the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Physical Demands: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Preferences:
* Highly skilled in spreadsheets (e.g. Excel, Google sheets)
* Experience with Project Management software (e.g. Smartsheet, Microsoft Project)
* Experience with data analytic / data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
* Willingness to learn AI tools
* Experience with Workday or other SaaS ERP products
Licenses/ Certifications: PMP
Minimum Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
* Experience: Five years of progressively responsible experience in project management and complexity. Three (3) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

* Strong communication skills, leadership abilities,
* Demonstrate proficiency in project planning, execution, and risk management.
* Comprehensive knowledge of and skills in methods and techniques used in general mechanical, structural and maintenance trades.
* Ability to read, interpret, and work on blueprints, drawings, specifications.
* Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
* Proven success working with all levels of management.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
