Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Office of New Animal Product Evaluation's (ONAPE). ONAPE's major responsibility is to review information submitted by drug sponsors who desire to obtain approval to manufacture and market animal drugs. The incumbent performs a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed in the organization.

- Receives and routes incoming and outgoing materials such as controlled or routine correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
- Performs office automation duties to prepare documents such as correspondence, forms, and reports, which may include technical material, graphs, and charts.

Qualifications
The position of Program Support Assistant (OA) falls under the 0303 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-5/6, you must meet all requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 11/18/2024.Basic Requirements
A fully qualified typist is required to perform word processing and other office automation duties. 40 words per minute typing speed is required by the incumbent to perform the Office Automation duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. The specialized experience must demonstrate one year of full-time work experience , or the equivalent if part-time (for example, an employee working 20 hours per week for a 12-month period should be credited with 6 months of experience.) Experience may have been obtained in either the federal service or its equivalent with state or local government, the private sector, or nongovernmental organizations.
GS-5: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, which includes the following duties: gathering information for evaluation; utilizing a computer and a variety of software applications; and performing administrative office duties.

have successfully completed four years of education above high school level. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

have a combination of post-high school education and specialized experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
GS-6: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, which includes the following duties: utilizing an automated tracking system; researching and compiling data for evaluation; utilizing a computer and a variety of software applications; and performing administrative office duties.
