Program Associate Entomology & Plant Pathology University of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture (UADA) is seeking a Program Associate Entomology & Plant Pathology to work in Fayetteville, AR @ 2601 N. Young Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72704. DUTIES: Utilize advanced molecular techniques to detect pathogens; Lead research projects to develop innovative solutions or treatments to eliminate systemic pathogens from plants; Ensure protocols are in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements; Communicate regularly with stakeholders about pathogen cleanup efforts; Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings.TRAVEL: Attendance and presentation at professional meetings & meeting w/ individuals holding the same position in other Clean Plant Centers at domestic, and possibly international locations, 1 - 2 times / year, for a few days at a time. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Botany, Plant Sciences, or related field & 24 mths exp in research fellow position in Plant Sciences, Plant Genetics, Botany, or related position.
