- The purpose of this position is to provide grant management, technical and administrative support to Resolution Oregon, as well as to provide ongoing direct support for the administrator. CDRCs utilize the program assistant as a resource for information, technical assistance, and grant management purposes. This position ensures that available grant funds are administered properly, efficiently, and effectively; and works with the director and community program staff to promote quality community dispute resolution services in Oregon.
- This position performs administrative support of moderate complexity requiring in-depth knowledge of policies, practices, and procedures. The work consists of independently performing a full range of standard and non-standard assignments and resolving a variety of non-recurring problems. This position will provide direct support to help ensure the integrity and success of this program. The Program Assistant may be required to travel periodically to provide administrative support for meetings throughout the state.
- This position is .5 FTE and reports to the administrator of Resolution Oregon. The administrator reports to the Associate Dean of Faculty Research and Programs.
- This position has been identified as having a high level of flexibility in location, including the option to work at a remote location outside of a UO location. All adjusted work arrangements require supervisor and leadership approval and may be periodically reassessed.
- Minimum Requirements
- Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents;
- OR
- An Associate degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology;
- OR
- Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience.
- College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in the subject matter and field of conflict resolution, mediation, negotiation (experience in the field a plus).
- Experience in higher education or knowledge of the university and its programs.
- Experience in legislative processes or legislative advocacy.
