Position Summary
The District Product and Financial Specialist plays an important role in the organization by performing a
number of activities related to the districts product and financial functions. The role is primarily
responsible, under general to intermittent supervision, to analyze trends and forecasts for the product
and financial needs of the district. The District Product and Financial specialist serves as a subject matter
expert and internal support resource for Guild mortgage products and possesses the flexibility necessary
to provide live support to sales team members.
Essential Functions
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of company product and processes.
• Assist RVP and District Manager(s) in identifying specific product training opportunities.
• Partner with Guild’s Product Team to provide product specific training, job aids, and sales support
documents.
• Serve as feedback conduit from field to headquarters regarding strengths and weaknesses of
existing product offerings and processes; identify areas of improvement, recommend solutions,
etc.
• Prepare and present education to the field on new product offerings and enhancements; help
manage new product/product change roll out announcements and other internal communications
related to area of expertise.
• Assist in providing initial and ongoing product training to field staff; collaborate with training
department, help identify training needs and provide applicable solutions.
• Present and promote webinars related to products as needed.
• Assist in the marketing of products; help create marketing materials and aid in the reviewing and
editing of product-related advertisements for the Compliance department.
• Stay abreast of changes and trends related to products; make recommendations to product and
process updates/changes related to knowledge.
• Review files for adherence to underwriting standards and ensuring completeness of submission.
• Monitor operational performance/metrics for the department to maximize productivity, efficiency,
and compliance levels.
• Build and maintain solid working relationships with realtors with the goal of generating leads, increasing loan production, and providing exemplary customer service.
• Respond to escalated issues that cannot be resolved by teammates; assist with complex loans,
provide support on scenarios/pre-qualifications when needed, etc.
• Review and validate accuracy of financial reports for the district and provide ad hoc analysis
surrounding all aspects of branch and corporate P&L’s.
• Effectively communicate information to management by assembling and summarizing data,
preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
• Manage branch pro-forma statement creation and analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Prior experience coaching Loan Officers through loan scenarios strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of GSE, Agency, and/or private correspondent mortgage investors, including
non-agency and mortgage insurance.
• Expert-level understanding of the intricacies of mortgage product guidelines, process, and pricing.
• Experience with affordable lending products, especially those offered by Housing Finance Agencies.
• Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to perform as a team player, eliminating silos and effectively working with others.
• Strong critical thinking skills with an eye for strengthening and/or improving processes.
• Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
required.

Target Salary Range: $53,800.00 to $89,600.00 USD
