Purpose Statement
The Process Controls Technicianis responsible for performing diverse engineering analysis, managing electrical and PLC projects, and implementing process changes for operations. This includes machine capability evaluations, modifications of equipment and developing solutions to production issues relating to materials, processes, and procedures to maximize efficiency and yields.
The Process Controls Technicianis responsible for supporting Capital Project development, start-up, and validation of operations. Must also effectively provide services to lead the on-site installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, operation of automation control systems & advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks, and the individual products which comprise of these systems.
Must be able to work Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm PT (hours are flexible). May be on call for 2nd or 3rd shift either by phone or coming into the plant (mainly by phone).
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
* Monitor and evaluate relevance of PLC systems and supporting software. Update/upgrade as required
* Develop an upgrade strategy for equipment electrical/electronic components and systems
* Supply technical information to support development of (SOPs) for the operation of new equipment or changes to current equipment
* Participates on Project Teams as the plant Electrical/PLC programing resource
* Researches, justifies, and implements solutions for electrical, PLC, and equipment programing issues
* Support Maintenance and Production with needed technical knowledge for electrical and programing
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
* 3-5 years of electrical and PLC programing experience is required
* Strong electrical power and controls experience to support troubleshooting electrical and PLC issues.
* Work as mentor to the maintenance department to increase electrical knowledge for mechanics.
* Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to write a concise report of findings / needs.
* Capital project participation experience.
* Understand the interrelationships of factors affecting a given situation and be attentive to detail.
* Capable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovations to economically solve production problems in a timely manner.
* Able to arrange schedule for immediate corrective actions or support.
* Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe electrical practices to support manufacturing operations
* Provide support through the performance of the installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of equipment and systems.
* Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFD's and SCADA systems experience
* Troubleshoot electrical and control problems, identify, and implement new or amended system functionality, identify operational process gaps, and take corrective actions.
* Execute initiatives supporting our automation strategy and controls engineering.
* Support the development and writing of documentation as required (standard operating procedures, technical reports, etc.).
* Communicate with leadership teams regarding project details.

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

$92,915.14-$125,708.72
