The Principal Project Engineer will support all phases of the development process, working across disciplines to develop technical solutions and leading a multi-discipline team, which includes Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineering functions, as well as other disciplines such as Production, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance. The Principal Project Engineer will be working in a fast-paced environment providing technical leadership to design, develop, and deliver products to support the lifecycle of the program. The Principal Project Engineer develops project plans, maintains project schedules and drives the team to a solution that meets technical requirements and cost targets.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Requirements Management, IV&V experience, and life cycle management of projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Windows.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project and scheduling practices.
- Basic understanding of reading and comprehending drawings, specifications, and other technical information.
- Monitor and measure performance of the project. This includes developing and recording Key Performance Measures (KPIs), performing cost and schedule measurement, reviewing and updating spend plans and staffing profiles, coordinating the development of Estimates at Complete (EAC), and working with functional management to acquire, rotate, and size staff.
- Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline or related field.

- Ability to organize engineers to manage issues throughout the development life cycle of the project.
- Technical leadership capabilities, includes the ability to lead the resolution of tough technical challenges.
- Experience managing traditional and Agile teams.
- Experience creating/managing Backlogs in Azure DevOps or similar.
- Proposal development experience.
- Ability to build teams with diverse skill sets, acting at highest level of their discipline.
- Ability to maintain high performance in a highly dynamic, team-based environment.
- Ability to manage the development of systems for commercial and defense applications.
- Ability to assimilate inputs from multiple sources and derive operational requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
- Proficiency using CREO or other CAD programs.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
