The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $141,104 - $176,380
Job Summary
The role is responsible for the Digital applications ecosystems at Avangrid and must have the Web content management system (Liferay DXP), full-stack open technologies, SECDEVOPS process and oversee a team ensuring digital platforms operate smoothly. The role will lead incident management processes, including troubleshooting and problem resolution, and manage issues reported by business partners. The role requires expertise in the application development lifecycle, cybersecurity, network security, databases, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring along with excellent communication skills, and be capable of leading meetings, technical discussions, and the operations team during critical situations. Coordination with application security and awareness of ongoing issues and security vulnerabilities are also essential.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Oversight and Support: This includes leading product and service development and supporting other areas such as technological infrastructure and critical solutions. The role also involves implementing efficiencies in the use of technologies and promoting a culture of adopting new technologies.
Change Management: Creating and monitoring change management strategies and plans for sponsorship, communications, operational impacts, and providing technical reports.
Project Management: Ensure the successful implementation of digital strategies with effective communications with team leaders and product owners.
Collaboration and Coordination: Works closely with various teams, including engineering, operations, product, digital, customer service, PR, and executive teams.
Problem-Solving: Exercises advanced proficiency in problem-solving, leading initiatives to address complex challenges in technology, innovation, customer experience (CX), and digital strategy. This includes analyzing feedback and performance metrics to refine solutions iteratively.
Leadership and Team Management: Leads cross-functional teams in developing and implementing effective strategies. Mentors and coaches team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
Technical Expertise: Demonstrates a solid background in managing technological infrastructure and developments, overseeing product and service development, and acting as the design authority for critical solutions.
Communication: Communicates clearly and reports critical information to C-Levels.
Digital Skills: Identifies digital transformation opportunities, leverages emerging technologies, and adapts or reshapes production, service, and customer processes.
Continuous improvements: Stays updated with the technology, concepts, and best practices for coding single-page applications at scale.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 8 years of Digital Platforms experience in web app designing, development, testing, and Digital Applications support/operational experience, three of those years with Technical Lead or Operations lead experience.
Experience in developing applications using open technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java 8, Spring boot framework, Angular 12+ app development and MFE architecture.
Experience with Google Analytics, Remote Config and ELK stack.
RDBMS knowledge and basic SQL query scripting.
Experience in working with container frameworks such as Docker and any flavor of Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes experience is a plus) and cloud platforms Azure/AWS.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a related discipline
Git and other Source code management modules
Experience in CIAM(OKTA) and APIM products implementation/operations.
Experience in Mobile App Development (Hybrid/native apps) would be a plus
