Brief Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptionally analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our Sales Operations team as a Pricing & Program Analyst. This pivotal role will focus on evaluating and optimizing our Early Buy programs, with a specific emphasis on pricing initiatives such as Off Invoices and Rebates. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of sales operations, pricing strategies, and advanced data analysis techniques to the table.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program Management
- Outcome: Accurate and timely loading of Customer Pricing Programs in Salesforce annually.
- Review and approve all pricing programs in Salesforce annually, ensuring accurate data entry and integrity.
- Verify that pricing aligns with regional guidelines, providing recommendations to Sales leadership as needed.
- Lead the design and enhancement of Salesforce pricing programs.
- Performance Monitoring
- Outcome: Comprehensive ROI analysis of Customer Pricing programs.
- Track and analyze the performance of pricing programs, assessing their impact on new account acquisition, business growth, and revenue targets.
- Document the performance of new pricing programs and provide recommendations for underperforming initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate program insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Pricing Enforcement
- Outcome: Ensure execution of pricing programs by Distribution partners.
- Provide Distributor Partners with customer-specific pricing programs and ensure alignment.
- Reconcile off-invoice submissions from Distribution Partners to confirm customers receive accurate pricing as per their Salesforce program.
- Collaborate with the Sales Finance team to ensure accurate Year-End Rebates that align with Salesforce programs.
- Data Management
- Outcome: Ensure all Customer Pricing Programs in Salesforce accurately reflect Sales & Product Information.
- Manage and maintain sales data related to customer programs, ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Outcome: Effective collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Distribution teams to gather insights and align strategies for Customer programs.
- Support the AZEK Field Sales team in entering pricing programs into Salesforce.
- Assist the AZEK Finance team with reports detailing customer rebates and discount information.
- Address customer pricing inquiries from our Distribution Partners.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, pricing analysis, sales finance, or revenue management, preferably in building materials or a related industry.
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Salesforce.com, and Tableau. Experience with JD Edwards and Power BI is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders through clear presentations and reports.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in data analysis and reconciliation.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Potential Challenges in This Role:
- Understanding Regional Pricing Dynamics: A steep learning curve in grasping the diverse pricing dynamics across regions and product lines.
- Data Constraints: Limitations in Salesforce reporting will require exporting data and analyzing it with tools like Excel and Tableau.
- Program Entry & Approvals: Ensuring timely completion of program entries and approvals by the Field Sales teams can be challenging.
- Program Profitability: Assessing the viability of new pricing strategies will require substantial collaboration with the Field Sales team, despite not dictating customer pricing directly.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $106,500 in our lowest market up to $130,500 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
