The Town of Allendale is accepting applications for a Police Chief. 

The candidate will be responsible for the effective and professional management and development of the Town’s Police Department.  The successful candidate will supervise, train, direct, counsel, evaluate, and discipline subordinates.  Consult with the Town Administrator and Town government officials to determine and plan department services.  Enforce federal and state law, and Town Code Ordinances.

Qualifications

Education, training, and experience commensurate with the completion of a course of study related to the occupational field.  A minimum of 10 years law enforcement experience is preferred.  Three years law enforcement experience equivalent to a police sergeant or higher is required.  Any equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
