Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Location: Littleton NH
Shift: 4:30 pm - 3:00 am M-TH
Reports to: Foreman
Job Overview: Press brake operators produce parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a computer-controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends, punches, or cuts into material.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adjust the machine to control speed & make sure the machine is set up correctly and produces quality products.
- Read, follow, and understand blueprints.
- Inspect the fabricated part to ensure it matches the specifications from the blueprint.
- Understands and performs set-up of each unit correctly.
- Safely operate equipment, machinery, and overhead crane.
- Meets or exceeds set production targets as directed by supervisor.
- Keep the area, machines, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and clear of debris.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor.
- Respect the required standards in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Willing to cross-train as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent operator skills.
- Excellent knowledge of all measuring devices.
- Understand and identify parts from blueprints/CAD drawings.
- Ability to perform quality work in compliance with the required standards demonstrated in previous employment/experience.
- Physically capable of doing the job. (lift and carry up to 50 pounds)
- Must communicate well with others and have good organizational skills.
Education
- Technical degree in a related field or several years of comparable shop experience deemed valid by the employer
