Job Summary
To evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance. This position will be on the Cardiovascular Acute Care team. We are looking for therapists interested in a variety of patient populations that includes medicine cardiology, thoracic and vascular surgery and pulmonary medicine. We have a structured orientation process to each new area with ongoing mentoring by both Senior Therapists and APTA Board Certified Specialists in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy.

Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS or DPT degree
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment.
- Possession of a current state License to practice therapy in Michigan. New Grads welcome to apply.
Work Schedule
Schedule to be determined but will include one weekend day as part of the regular schedule, plus occasional holidays.

Underfill Statement
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Physical Therapy graduates waiting for Michigan Licensure or therapists licensed in other states that are waiting for Michigan licensure to be approved would qualify as an underfill position.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
