POSITION OF PATROL OFFICER Examination Notice City of Chester The City of Chester is interested in establishing an Eligibility List for the position of Patrol Officer. Applications will be available at the Office of Human Resources, City Hall, 1 Fourth Street, Chester, PA 19013, beginning February 3, 2025 through February 28, 2025 between the hours of 9:00am-12pm and 1pm- 4pm, Monday- Friday. A non-refundable processing fee of Thirty-Five Dollars ($35.00) Money Order or Cashiers Check payable to the City of Chester is required at the time of obtaining the application. US Citizenship (Birth/Baptismal Certificate is acceptable} 3. High School Diploma/GED 4. Valid Drivers License/Passport 5. Proof of Veterans Status, if applicable 6. Proof of 120 Certification, if applicable Applications must be returned in person by the applicant, along with the items listed above for verification (copies are acceptable), to the Office of Human Resources during the hours listed above before or on February 28, 2025. There will be no exceptions. If hired, applicants must reside within a fifty (50) mile radius from The City of Chester, or establish residency within a fifty (50) mile radius of the City within three (3) months of their date of hire. Applicants will have to PASS A PHYSICAL AGILITY ON (March 9th@ 8 am at Widener University) prior to being permitted to take the written Civil Service Test. ALSO, PASS A READING COMPREHENSION TEST (TBA) as outlined by the Municipal Police Officer Education and Training Commission as part of the hiring process for the City of Chester.
