Distinguishes between food and food related medication allergies. Provides meal service duties of serving and collecting meal trays.Job DutiesAttends scheduled meetings and in-services to stay up-to-date on industry trends. Examines customer problems and implements appropriate corrective action in response to customer requests.Escalates food and nutrition queries/requests to the appropriate dietary authority. Maintains current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance with the physician's diet order. Reviews patient diet orders and allergies to confirm compliancy with the physician's diet order.Serves as the liaison between the Nursing department and Food and Nutrition services.Minimum Qualifications1 year Prior experience in food service or a related field Ability to mentor and train others.
