Job Title: Packaging Designer

Salary Range: $78,108- $96,486 per year plus an annual bonus
Location: Ada, MI (Hybrid schedule, in the office in Ada on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
What do we need:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic & Packaging Designer to develop innovative packaging solutions that enhance our brands and global product appeal as well as create visually compelling graphics. You should have a strong understanding of design principles, materials, and production processes, and will be able to translate marketing and branding strategies into effective packaging designs and presentations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Brand Managers, Packaging Engineers, Creative Project Managers and the Creative Solutions team as well as external agencies and creative partners to support Amway’s brands and help Amway Business Owners attract customers with our packaging.

Required qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in packaging design, graphic design
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with focus in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Packaging Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and 3D modeling software.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and production techniques
- Excellent visual and spatial design skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging practices is a plus
What skills and background will be important to be successful:
- Collaborate with the marketing, product development, and production teams to create packaging designs that meet brand standards and project requirements
- Develop and present design concepts, mock-ups, and prototypes for new packaging
- Conduct research on material trends, consumer preferences, and competitor packaging to inform design decisions
- Select appropriate materials and production techniques to ensure cost-effective and sustainable packaging solutions
- Prepare detailed specifications and artwork files for production, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to oversee the production process and resolve and design-related issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies
- Ensure all packaging designs comply with regulatory requirements and company and brand standards
