Your Opportunity as Operator 1, Production
As a part of the Production Team, you are responsible for several bakery manufacturing activities. As an operator 1 worker, you must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, be able to communicate and work effectively in a team structure and be flexible in work assignments within the operator category. The assignments are as follows: Mixer, Fryer, Oven Operator, Wrap Operator, Depositor, Scaler, VFFS, Pearson, Vari Straight Right/Left, Enrober, Forklift, Yard Dog. You must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, safely and accurately complete assigned duties and maintain GMP standards. You will be a part of the Food Defense Team.
Location: Arkadelphia, AR bakery
Work Arrangements: 100% Onsite - 3rd Shift - 11:00p-7:00am, 1st Shift - 7:00am-3:00pm
In this role you will:
- Responsible for setting up operation of bakery equipment/manufacturing line, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products per production guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with Production/Packaging procedure/practices as well as inspecting all areas within one (1) line/equipment for any operational and/or mechanical issues.
- Reports all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager as soon as possible.
- Complete and submit reports throughout the day regarding production.
- Visually inspects product for quality and quantity.
- Monitoring runs and performing basic troubleshooting on our Bakery equipment.
- Support quality control programs to ensure production procedures follow best practices of food safety and quality standards.
- Understands and complies with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations.
- Work safely; follow proper lock out/tag out procedure where applicable.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures.
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
- May perform other duties not listed.

Minimum Requirements:
* Ability to work night shift.
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
* Previous safety training preferred.
* Previous manufacturing expereince.
* Experience assisting with change overs preferred.
* Experience working in a team-oriented environment preferred.
Tools and Equipment: All tools and equipment which are required to be used by the employees shall be supplied and kept in repair by the Employer at no cost to the employee. These items must be kept on the premises.
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
