Medical Biller Collections
Portsmouth, New Hampshire
MUST:
Experienced Medical Biller Collection
Must have 1 plus years of experience as a Medical Biller handling collections
Must have experience working as a Medical Receptionist
Must have experience with patient follow up managing balances, copays, etc.
Must have Medical Insurance experience
DUTIES:
Medical Biller Collections will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Processes patient payments, online payments and credit card refunds daily
Establishes, maintains, and monitors patient compliance to patient payment plans
Tracks and follows up with insufficient fund checks for payments
Reviews and maintains patient accounts according to Practice collection policies and procedures
Reviews and resolves pre-collection report and pre-Sharon Horner report twice a month
Monitors collections reports and reconciles with outside collection attorney
Represents the Practice in court cases involving collection accounts
Generate electronic statements each week and print individual statements as needed
Reviews and resolves the statement report weekly
Completes individual daily deposit and balances at the end of each scheduled workday
Reviews and resolves the self-pay/insurance only and bad address report monthly
Answers patient phone calls and billing inquires
Serves as liaison with outside collection agencies
Assists peers when necessary
Registers new patients with complete and accurate demographics according to procedure
Verifies patient's insurance eligibility and benefits at each visit
Updates patients' charts so that the information is entered correctly
Scans documents into the electronic medical record as directed.
Completes work daily to compile missing demographic and insurance information for billing purposes
Obtain prior authorizations for care
Answer phones taking patient demographic information
