Medical Assistant
Stevensville, VA
MUST:
Experienced Medical Assistant or CMA/ RMA
Experience taking vitals
CPR certified
Comfortable treating children of all ages
Experience with heel and finger sticks (preferred)
Experience with injections (preferred)
DUTIES:
Perform vital signs on patient
Ensure that patient history is complete i.e.(immunization records, allergy to medications, birth weight etc...)
Obtain a brief summary of patient complaints
Document any immunizations needed
Assist doctors in any necessary procedures
Perform sensory screening as needed
Fill out any necessary paper work for patient i.e. (school forms, medication forms)
Work as a team with nursing and front office staff for optimal patient care
Administer immunizations and medicine injections
Follow any safety requirements for rooms and documentation
Other various duties as assigned, including cross training in other functional areas
