The Global Strategy and Operations Manager is primarily focused on program oversight, process optimization and performance management. This role will span across all of Commercial Digital and Tech to enable the organization’s digital, data and AI strategy to achieve the ambition of the Commercial organization. The role will work closely with leaders from across the Commercial D&T LT and the Medical D&T LT to drive key efforts forward across the organization that are critical for US and other priority markets.
This role will include some of the following:
Process improvement and operations: Manage activities and initiatives to drive operational efficiencies for US and Market teams
Stakeholder communication: frequently support C D&T LT in managing and creating content for strategic updates to senior leaders
Delivery and Portfolio Management: Support the organization by working with the US and Market teams to report and track value delivery
Work alongside the Regional D&T teams Business Operations teams to coordinate quarterly portfolio reviews for key leadership meetings
Develop a robust framework and manage the processes to connect regional strategies to the Global Commercial Leadership ambition
Support yearly planning to ensure that objectives of the Commercial and Medical organization are aligned to key deliverables and key stakeholder engagements
Performance Management: Develop dashboards, mechanisms and robust framework to track and monitor KPIs
Frequently conduct analysis of critical strategic and operational data sets to ensure LT decisions and choices are based on insights and metrics
Additional Responsibilities include:
Strong leadership to enable the C and M D&T teams by driving effective operations and practices in portfolio management and organizational management.
Standardization to help define and maintain best practices within the C and M D&T organization
Problem solving solutions alongside the C D&T LT and take on a leading role in resolving high impact issues
Why You?
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
8 + years in Digital and Technology Management (Product Owner, Product Manager, Technical IT Manager, Portfolio Management, or Program Management responsibilities).
7+ years in Management Experience
Experience in AGILE and SCRUM
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in relevant discipline
Extended experience in life science and/or healthcare industries
Experience in cross functional and matrixed teams
Proven proactive, independent, self-starter; ability to drive through ambiguity in a fast moving and dynamic environment
Demonstrate great leadership skills and be able to communicate the strategic vision of the company and the organization across all levels within and outside of Tech.
Excellent collaboration and partnering skills with an ability to gain respect/buy-in from your stakeholders across GSK.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong stakeholder relationship and partnering skills
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, communication skills, and listening skills to be able to present strategic visions and ideas and to drive decision making, issue resolution and achieve alignment across all levels within and outside of the Digital and Tech organization.
Strong planning and organizational skills; strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
